About Discover Phillips County
In 2006, the Discover Phillips County initiative was developed with support from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, in partnership with Huck Boyd National Institute for Rural Development, and K-State University. This plan is a county wide approach built on Phillips County’s many strengths. This on going initiative will include active citizens of all ages who become a more unified, county wide community. The people of Phillips County share common goals and objectives to strengthen their economy and develop a community-based plan for successful and sustainable community development; and a visionary plan for the future.
The Discover Phillips County Community Development Model is based on these guiding principles:
